Northcote City is pleased to announce the signing of prolific striker Adam Wright.
The Welshman, who joins as a visa player, has been in scintillating form for NPL2 West opponents Brunswick City this season with 14 league goals in 16 appearances.
This comes on the back of 16 goals for the club in 2016.
‘I had a call from the manager, spoke to a few people about it and decided it would be a great move to come across,’ Wright said.
‘Northcote is a big club moving in the right direction and I want to be part of that.’
Wright broke into the Welsh Premier League at the age of 19 before moving to Australia at 22. After an initial stint at Moreland City he had a stellar season with Clifton Hill, paving the way for a move into the NPL with Brunswick.
‘I’m looking forward to putting in 110 per cent every training session and every game and giving my best for the squad. My target is to hopefully net some more goals and help the team finish the season strongly,’ the 26-year-old said.
Wright arrives on the back of James Papadimitriou’s departure, with Nathan Cook, Nick Bavcar and Chris Tsonis also moving on from John Cain Memorial Park.
