Northcote City Football Club wishes to announce that Vice President Peter Kotsiris has resigned from his position at the Club.

Kotsiris, known to everybody as Kotsy, started as Senior Team Manager at Northcote in 1994 and has contributed heavily to the success of the Club since the turn of the millennium in various roles also including Club President.

“I felt like it was the right time for me to step aside,” Kotsiris said.

“It doesn’t mean I’m not still going to be around the Club. I will very much remain a staunch supporter of Northcote. It’s time for a fresh start and hopefully some new faces can come in and get involved.”

Kotsy has witnessed and been a huge factor behind the rise of Hercules through the State Leagues to the very top as well as the major silverware won in 2011 and 2013, the Mirabella Cup and VPL Championship respectively.

“It’s been amazing to see the club grow over the last number of years,” he said.

“I think we’ve definitely become a lot more professional. Obviously there’s still a long way to go but to see the club change and the success it has had is unreal. I’m so rapt to have been part of it.”

Each and every person involved at Northcote would like to sincerely thank Kotsy for the unbelievable commitment he has put into the Club over the years and the positive effect he has had on all of us who have been lucky enough to work alongside him.
