Northcote City Football Club wishes to announce that Senior Head Coach Goran Lozanovski will not be continuing at the club next season.
Lozanovski, who oversaw five immensely successful years in Northcote’s history (including the VPL Championship triumph in 2013), returned to coach the club this season after a brief departure and despite turning City’s fortunes around, has taken the decision to step down due to personal reasons.
“It’s no secret that I love Northcote, and it’s with an extremely heavy heart that I have to walk away.”
“We made some huge improvements in a short time this season and I’m convinced that the club is back on the right track. I wish everyone here the best and I have no doubts that we’ll see Northcote back where it belongs very soon.”
Arriving in Round 9 with City sitting rock bottom on the table, Lozanovski produced a remarkable turnaround with a host of signings and newfound positivity seeing the club only just miss out on NPL survival on the last day of the season.
Everybody at Northcote City FC would like to thank Goran and wish him well for the future.
The Club is now commencing the process of identifying suitable candidates for the vacant Senior Head Coach role ahead of the upcoming 2017 season.
