Kuzman appointed as Senior Head Coach

Northcote City Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Zeljko Kuzman as Senior Head Coach.

The impressive manager arrives with extensive experience in the NPL, having had stints most recently as Head Coach at St Albans and Senior Assistant at Port Melbourne. Kuzman also helped Richmond SC gain promotion to the top flight in 2015 in the main Senior Assistant role and before that he was in charge of the Melbourne Knights Under 20s.

“This Club has a very proud and prestigious history,” Kuzman said.

“Obviously it wasn’t a great year but I feel like I’m the right man to take Northcote forward again.”

“I’m really keen to make an impression and hopefully in time we can produce a brand that we’re all proud of.”

Kuzman brings his trusted assistants Steve Bebic and Theo Mihailidis along with him to John Cain Memorial Park and is raring to start introducing the coaching team’s football philosophy.

“I’d like to say that our sides play a high-energy, exciting brand of football that is mainly effective.”

“We try to play positive where we can with a lot of forward passes, forward runs and high possession but minimising risk at the same time.”

Kuzman will now assess City’s senior squad and start assembling players as he prepares for the 2017 season.

Stay tuned to Northcote City’s website and social media pages for the full interview with Zeljko in the coming days.
