Theodoridis departs Northcote City

Long-term goalkeeper and Northcote City stalwart Chris Theodoridis has departed the Club following a brilliant nine-year career at John Cain Memorial Park, as he moves on in search of a new challenge at his boyhood club Heidelberg United.

Still a teenager when he arrived at Northcote, Theodoridis went on to win two State League Championships, a VPL Championship and a Mirabella Cup as well as captaining the side in the 2015 NPL season.

Theodoridis penned a heartfelt message of thanks to all connected with Northcote City Football Club:

I’ve been trying to find the words on how I feel right now and I can’t. I have been apart of Northcote City Hercules for 9 years, won 3 Championships and a Mirabella Cup. Been vice captain and had the privilege to captain this great club this year. I would like to thank you all for the past nine years that we have all had, the highs and the lows. I have made life-long relationships which I will treasure. I have decided that I need a new challenge and fresh environment this year and I am moving on. NCH will forever be close to my heart. Take care and I wish you all the best for next season.

I would firstly like to thank NCH for giving me the opportunity to play at senior level. To all the current and past players, staff, volunteers, and supporters, a big thank you. I have made life-long relationships which I will treasure and NCH will forever be close to my heart.

The Club would like to express its gratitude to Chris for his excellent contributions over the last nine years and wishes him well for the future.
